CE-IVD Quantitative Assay Kit for Whole Blood

Highly accurate and sensitive
  • Quantitation limit is 330 nM for NAD+ and 119 nM NADH in whole blood measured in two 96-well plate assays.
Easy to handle
  • One step metabolite extraction is followed by separate measurement of NAD+ and NADH in the extract.
  • Detection time is less than 10 minutes.
Higher throughput
  • Can be easily adopted into higher-throughput 96-well plate assay to analyze hundreds of samples per day.

Notice: By placing an order for assay kits, you acknowledge that the kit requires standard laboratory equipment (See Kit Requirements specified below). Orders are non-returnable if the necessary equipment is not available in your laboratory (See Terms and Conditions for more information).

Intended Use

Q-NADMED Blood, an in-vitro diagnostic medical device, is an analytical assay kit for measurement of concentrations of NAD+ and NADH metabolites in human whole blood. The assay is quantitative. Intended users of the Q-NADMED assay kit are trained laboratory personnel.

Principles

The principle of the assay is a cyclic enzymatic reaction with a colorimetric end-point detection. First, NAD+ and NADH metabolites are extracted together from a blood sample in a single step. Then the extract is divided into two parts revealing both NAD+ and NADH concentrations by removing one metabolite and stabilizing the other.

Provided Reagents

  • Extraction BUFFER A
  • NAD+ stabilizing reagent
  • NADH stabilizing reagent
  • NAD+ standard stock
  • NADH standard stock
  • Assay BUFFER C
  • Assay color reagent
  • Enzyme

Precautions and Warnings

  • For research use only by trained personnel.
  • The Stop Solution may cause skin, eye, and respiratory irritation. Avoid breathing in fumes.
  • Assay color reagent may cause skin irritation. Handle with care, use gloves.
  • BUFFER A can cause eye irritation. Handle with care, use googles.
